VERITAS: End of Day 3

So in the afternoon I ended up doing some more grunt work rather than finishing the mirror alignment on T2 with John. Cleared out the T1 control trailer, tore up some AC ducts, moved something like 8 billion pounds of signal cable to the dumpster.

Here I am up on the manlift working on the mirror alignments. In the background are T1 (left) and T4 (right).

A view down on T2 from the basket.

In order to get at the left side of T2 to align mirrorss, we had to rotate it a bit. We couldn't move it too much though because if too much sun hits the mirrors, it'll destroy the camera box. I managed to catch the movement in a video.

Just a pretty picture of T2.

Afterwards, I got back to work on T1. In the foreground we have T1 and in the back there's T4.

Sean + giant wrench + 4 million dollar gamma ray telescope = photo op!

Pulling cables, literally.

Tomorrow they're going to take down the camera box using a huge crane we got from the USMC for free (I've been told). They're starting early, but I'm hoping that we'll get there in time so that I can snap some cool pictures.
